Principal's Letter
Dear Parents,
Assalamu ‘alaykum,
To everyone we’d like to first welcome you to the Islamic School of Columbia
Missouri – Ahlan wa sahlan! The summer has flown by so quickly and we find
ourselves approaching a brand new year again. As my second year as Principal, I
look forward to continue the success of the previous year, and towards
developing and improving our school this year as well. To make this happen I
depend on your cooperation and help so that we can bring forth the potential
which I know is in each and every one of our students and the Islamic school as
a whole. This school would not have been possible if it was not for our
wonderful parents and staff.
Those who took and continue to take the time out to think of the future of their
children, not just as human beings, but as Muslims. We come together as one,
unifying our objective in trying to build a foundation for our children – the
upcoming generation – with both the knowledge of the Deenul-Islaam, the religion
of Islaam and giving them the tools of the Dunya of the world in which to
continue on with their success. This is the time now which is important to each
and every one of us, where do we see our children? What kind of upbringing are
we willing to give them? For sure we will face many challenges and difficulties
along the way but with cooperation and understanding we hope to build bridges
towards the improvement of the academic development of our children.
I make du’a for all of our current students that Allaah gives them the best in
this world and the Hereafter. Towards our dear parents, we ask that you forgive
our flaws. We are not perfect but we wish to work hand in hand with each and
every one of you to try to fix these issues as best as we can. Until that time
we kindly ask for your patience and understanding and remember that this school
is based for the Sake of Allaah subhana wa ta’ala alone, and each of our actions
we try to do accordingly. May Allaah reward you all for your help and dedication
towards this effort.
The teachers and Board are also working very hard for the upcoming year, and
we’re very excited to see it begin. We welcome two new staff members this
upcoming year to our team – Sister Karen and Sister Clarice. All of our teachers
together are the models and guiding hands for our children. Let’s appreciate
their hard work and do our best to support them.
Please feel free to look around the school and see the rooms, and if you have any
questions or concerns don’t hesitate to contact me and I will try to help as
best as I can.
Wassalam,
Aminul Islam, Ph.D Principal
